The Houston-based utility infrastructure contractor has bought transmission pipeline servicer Price Gregory Services for $96m and 10.9m in ordinary shares.

The Energy Infrastructure Investments syndicate is to acquire the Hallett 4 wind farm in South Australia from Australian energy company AGL. The facility is still under construction.

Renewable energy developer SunRay has reached financial close on a solar power plant project near Rome. €120m of project financing was provided by a three-strong bank syndicate.

The French energy giant said it is considering selling its UK electricity distribution business in order to reduce its debt level by €5bn. The grid serves the London, the South-East and East region of the UK, supplying around eight million households.

The new strategic alliance between green energy-specialist advisory firm Clean Energy Capital Advisors and independent brokerage firm National Securities will target firms involved in the renewable energy project finance field.

The Chinese state-backed conglomerate has signed a loan agreement with the Asian Development Bank which will provide a $200m loan facility to back the company’s waste-to-energy projects in the country.
