The US private equity firm invested an undisclosed amount from its $2.25bn Trident IV fund in Real Estate Disposition Corporation, which auctions foreclosed properties. The company has auctioned off more than 16,000 US homes since November.

The European private equity firm has purchased 3i's and Merseyside Special Investment's stakes in Liverpool-based MJ Quinn, an infrastructure services business. Quinn has contracts with the London Underground, UK rail networks and the UK Ministry of Defence.
