Cypress, Goldman in $1.17bn auto buyout

The Cypress Group and Goldman Sachs Capital Partners have teamed to acquire a fluid, sealant and vibration control division of publicly traded Cooper Tire & Rubber. It is Cypress Group’s second major purchase in the automotive space in as many months.
