SFERS approves $175m in commitments

SFERS has backed three private equity funds that focus on three different regions: Asia, Europe and Latin America.

San Francisco Employees’ Retirement System announced commitments of $100 million to EMR Capital Resources Fund III, $50 million to Falko Regional Aircraft Opportunities Fund II and $25 million to Patria – Brazilian Private Equity Fund V Co-Invest.

As illustrated in the charts below, the $24.14 billion US public pension has a 18.0 percent target allocation to private equity that currently stands at 19.6 percent. SFERS committed a total of $420 million to private equity so far in 2019.
